Bibliography

The books, in the future, and anthologies where you can find my work. Sometimes my updates are slow, but I have good reminders to keep it up to date.

Moggies Back in Space

— under my pen name Matt Green

— The short story “Red River Boots,” in which a cat tells her tale of surviving in a derelict spaceship when facing a ‘vast’ array of ‘enemy’ robots. 🚀👾

Wyrd West

— Under my pen name Matt Ryan [1st time on the cover of a book 🙂]

— The short story “One Eldritch Horror, One Ranger,” in which a Texas Ranger must face off against a … well, the title gives you the best clue. 😉

Hooves, Tracks & Sabers

— Under my pen name Matt Ryan (an alternate history this time, set during the American War for Independence) [update: more tales in this setting coming.]

— The short story “Devil Take the Hindmost,” in which a Continental Dragoon must learn the importance of duty and commitment. 🐎🗡️

Minstrels in the Galaxy

- Using the pen name “Lord Shinzō” because I don’t see much overlap between GameLit and my other stories.

— The short story “Journeyman,” in which a young man faces challenges in a VR MMORPG game world and grows into a leader. 🚀☄️

Moggie Noir

— Under my pen name “Matt Green,” which made the cover. 🙂

— The short story “The Case of the Ivory Crane,” in which a cat helps his human counterpart solve a crime of greed and murder. 🐈‍⬛🔎

Steam Rising

— Under my pen name “Matt Ryan”

— The short story “Yakkamono <The Inconvenient Ones>,” in which a young scientist and a naval landing party must survive an assault by a kaiju and its young. ⚗️🐙

Moggie Noir: Alley Cat Alibi

— Under my pen name “Matt Green”

— In my short story “The Case of the Cast Away Captain,” the cat ‘operative’ is back and doing his best to keep his human counterpart out of trouble. 🐈‍⬛🔎

Cattlemen

— Under my pen name “Matt Ryan”

— My short story “Red River Blues,” takes place before “One Eldritch Horror, One Ranger.” In this tale, Sam McIntyre must track down a murderer on a train. 🚂

This short story was a labor of love for two reasons. I loved writing about Sam once more. There will be more tales about him in the future. The more important reason was that the proceeds for this short story go to upkeep on the children’s section of a library in ‘Tiny Town,’ Texas. I don’t see a dime, but the kids would benefit.

And short story #9.

Giant Squeeing Robots

— Under my pen name “Matt Ryan”

— The short story “MOPPET,” in which a boy must save his family from an ecological disaster on a distant moon, using only his family’s mining robot and his wits. Along with a bit of help from his little sister. 😉 [update: I’m working on a Middle Grade (MG) novel that continues the story.]

Second project of the year was the library charity organized by my friend, OldNFO. The title of this year’s project was “Library Creatures.”

— “Bookwyrm”

— This year’s tale was about a new librarian at a small town library and the odd people she meets during a normal day. And it gets very odd as the story progresses.

— This one is under my pen name “Matt Green.”

More projects incoming. 🙂
