Musical Inspirations

I’ve been working on three “what if” American War of Independence short stories and a novella most of last year and much of this year. Events conspired to push them back.

So I looked at other projects I can fill my time with. One is a middle grade LitRPG novella that had been coming along well until errands pulled me out of the flow. 🫤

Well, the biggest risk when out of the flow is you get pulled into another story. 😯

I have a story set on an island much like Iceland, and listening to this song about the love a human boy had for an alfar (elven) maiden that led to tragedy. Sung in Icelandic.

Anyway, though the song is entrancing, I was able to escape and get back to my middle grade novella.
